Ola Aina Farms raises pigs on pasture that are fed regionally sourced grains that have not been sprayed. Their feed contains no soy or corn and is ground on farm to ensure a high quality product. During the growing season they forage intentionally planted fields and when the fields stop growing they are supplemented with hay.

Why go through so much trouble? Because it is the only way to produce truly clean and healthy food. Our daily lives expose us to a great number of chemicals, and recent research is showing that the meat we consume contributes highly to the amount of agriculture chemicals we are exposed to. The reality of economically raising pigs means in most cases that grain is fed to them. All this grain contributes to unfavorable omega 6:3 fatty acid ratio and as a way to lower it, supplementation of forage helps drive that ratio in a more favorable.

We have 2 offerings of pork, an economy version of our pasture raised pork fed our non-spray grain for $5 a pound hanging and a limited amount of our signature black label line of pork that is fed the same way as our economy line but finished out with walnuts and apples at $8 a pound handing weight.
